You?

Do you dream in floor plans? Do you get giddy over a perfectly balanced color palette or the thrill of transforming a blank space into something people feel? We’re looking for a Lead Interior Designer who doesn’t just design spaces — they shape experiences.

You have a minimum of 3 years studio experience within the hospitality or related industry. You are detail oriented & take pride in a job well done. You enjoy the challenge of managing multiple projects & deadlines and aren’t thrown off by ad hoc requests or last-minute changes due to your amazing time management skills. You’ll work on exciting, high-impact projects that shape physical spaces and guest experiences.

In this role, you’ll lead the charge from the first napkin sketch to final walkthrough, ensuring every project hits the sweet spot between function, beauty, and brand magic. You are a great communicator – both written and verbal. You are solution oriented, with problem solving capabilities and a desire for continuous improvement. You thrive in a fast-paced team environment, supporting both the field and other departments.

About the Role

You’ll be the person bringing the vision to life with strong technical and graphic presentation skills. Whether designing for our Triple O’s quick service concept, or our family casual White Spot locations, the primary focus is providing a comfortable space our guests love to visit, while creating exceptional functionality for our restaurant operators.

You’ll be a design guru – working with the rest of the Design and Construction team in a collaborative, creative environment. Finding practical solutions that keep our builds on budget while conveying the warmth of our hospitality by staying up-to-date on trends and being knowledgeable on materials and design techniques to create the best use of the space we have.

Working with and reporting to the Director, Design and Construction, you’ll develop detailed design plans, including space planning, design schemes, millwork details, material selections, and drawing/rendering packages. You have a thorough knowledge of FF&E, strong industry relationships, and speak the language of the design/construction community. You will present design concepts, gather feedback and manage expectations with stakeholders.

You have a thorough understanding of the BC Building Code, including its purpose, structure and requirements, controlling both the aesthetic and the functionality of the space.

This is a hybrid in-office position with the ability to work from home 1-2 days a week after an initial training period which will require more in-office presence. Annual salary: $65-85k
