White Spot Hospitality is currently recruiting a Social Media Content Creator. Based in Vancouver BC, and reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the role is to provide support in growing our social platforms’ digital relevance and execute other marketing responsibilities that build the strength of our brands.

Working in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager, you will assist in executing the social media strategy across the company’s social media channels including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok (TBD), and other applications. We’re looking for someone ready to jump right into the details, who enjoys playing a supportive role, and is willing to help wherever possible. The initial month will be full-time in office to learn our brand; thereafter it will be a hybrid role with generally 3 days per week in office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of White Spot & Triple O’s social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, followers, positive online reputation and ultimately contribute to brand loyalty and purchase intent
  • Support with ideation on the social media marketing calendar to align with key promotions, brand campaigns, new restaurant openings, and other marketing initiatives
  • Lead the creation of content for all uses of our digital platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Website
  • Create video content, from ideation to filming to posting, across all our social media channels
  • Photograph subjects, such as food, exteriors, products, and lifestyle images
  • Develop graphic design assets and copywriting for organic social content, from initial concepts through the production phase
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager with social content on day-of-shoot logistics including props, culinary coordination, and other administrative responsibilities
  • Conduct research on social media trends, audience preferences, and competitor activity to inform content creation and community management efforts
  • Perform analysis of key competitors’ social channels to identify key brand growth opportunities
  • Other marketing tasks as needed to support the Marketing department

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience of related content marketing and design experience, previous hospitality experience preferred
  • Proficient copywriting, graphic design, and social media management skills are a requirement
  • A well-rounded portfolio of videography and design work, demonstrating a strong understanding of social objectives and strategies
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Proficiency in photography, videography, and editing (InDesign, Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator skills required)
  • Ability to take a creative brief and bring it to life so that is delivered on time & on budget
  • High attention to detail with excellent organization, planning & coordination skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – both in digital, by phone & in-person
  • Ability to work closely with the marketing team as well as internal stakeholders & external partners
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Survey Monkey, Mailchimp, and Office365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent Hybrid Role

Salary: $60,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits plan
