Richmond Centre & Kingsway Vancouver White Spots raises $21,382 for charity on Christmas day

Merry Christmas! An annual yuletide event, the Christmas Day luncheon at the Richmond Centre and Kingsway Vancouver White Spot restaurants raised a whopping $21,382 for two local charities.

Friends and family were invited to join the merriment by enjoying award-winning Legendary burgers and other Spot Classics on Christmas Day, to help support deserving local charities. This year’s fundraiser generated $12,488 at Richmond Centre and $8,894 at Kingsway Vancouver for the Richmond Hospital Foundation and Variety – The Children’s Charity, respectively. Since its inception, more than $222,000 has been raised by the luncheon, in which all proceeds, staff time and tips from the afternoon are donated for a good cause.

“The holidays are a season of giving,” said Warren Erhart, White Spot president. “We are now in our 16th year of the luncheon, and I’m so appreciative of our staff members who donate their time on Christmas Day, year after year, to make a real difference in their communities. Our holiday season event has become a much-anticipated White Spot tradition.”
