Vancouver, BC, May 30, 2016 – The Mel Jr. & Marty Zajac Foundation is pleased to announce that White Spot Limited will be honoured at the 4th Annual Zajac Nights with the ‘Raising the Bar Award’. Each year the Zajac Young Professionals honour a member of the Vancouver business community who exemplifies leadership, business savvy and a strong social conscience.
The award this year will be presented to White Spot Hospitality on June 4, 2016, at Zajac Nights “The World in a Night” celebration at Terminal City Club in support of Zajac Ranch for Children.
Over the last 8 years, White Spot has raised over $440,000 for Zajac Ranch for Children and was a natural choice for this year’s ‘Raising the Bar Award’. Under the leadership of the Toigo family and Warren Erhart, President and CEO, White Spot highlights the importance of hard work and perseverance in the business world whilst still maintaining a charitable presence throughout their endeavours. From Home office staff to chefs in their kitchens, the culture within White Spot encourages philanthropy, working together and supporting local communities. Alongside Zajac Ranch, White Spot continues to support communities across British Columbia and Alberta and set a valuable example to young professionals striving to succeed in today’s economy.
“We are honoured to announce that Mrs. Elizabeth Toigo, Mr. Peter Toigo and Mr. Warren Erhart will receive this award on behalf of White Spot this year. It is an iconic BC brand that under the leadership of these individuals has seen considerable growth and expansion into new global markets, something many young professional aspire to achieve.” says David Rutledge, Co-Chair of Zajac Young Professionals.
Carmen Zajac, President of The Zajac Foundation, says “Zajac Young Professionals have set a precedent in the qualities they look for from ‘Raising the Bar Award’ recipients. We are pleased to recognize the incredible contribution White Spot has made to Zajac Ranch and thank the Toigo family and Mr. Erhart for their ongoing support.”
